Partners36 Scholarships

The Surrey School District is pleased to offer a number of scholarship and bursary opportunities to its graduates, called Partners36 Scholarships. They are made possible through the contributions of individuals, corporations and community service organizations. Students attending one of the Surrey School District’s secondary schools or learning centres are eligible. See the eligibility requirements for more information. The application deadline is on or before April 15 of the current school year. Completed applications should be submitted to the scholarship contact at your school. For more information, contact your school and ask for the Scholarship Committee chair. J.S. McDonald Scholarship 4 scholarships at $2,000 Open to grade 12 students graduating by June of the current year. Applicants must be going on to study full time at an accredited university. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement as well as evidence of the following: active participation in school activities, leadership and community service. Application Form North Surrey Lions Club Bursaries 2 bursaries at $1,000 Applicants must provide evidence of outstanding academic achievement and community service. Application Form 2 bursaries at $500 Applicants must provide evidence of community service and citizenship. Application Form Pacific West Cable Industry & Trades Scholarships 2 scholarships at $1,000 Open to students interested in pursuing a career in the trades. Application Form Surrey Pre-Trial Services 1 scholarship at $1,000 Open to students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the criminal justice system. Application Form Christopher Mohan Memorial Bursary 1 bursary at $1,000 Open to students interested in a career in the trades. Application Form Ed Schellenberg Memorial Bursary 1 bursary at $1,000 Open to students interested in a career in the trades. Application Form Urban Spirit Foundation Bursary 2 bursaries at $1,000 Open to students of aboriginal ancestry with demonstrated financial need. Application Form Surrey Retired Teachers Association Bursary 3 bursaries at $800 Open to students pursuing a career in education who can demonstrate financial need. Application Form Hal Sinclair Memorial Scholarship 2 scholarships at $750 Open to students interested in pursuing a career in education. Application Form Stewart Schon Memorial Scholarship 2 scholarships at $750 Open to students interested in pursuing a career in education who have an average of B or better and demonstrate leadership and service to school and community. Must have a recent membership (last 3 years) in the Scouting or Guiding movement or National Life Guard Certification. Application Form Dr. F.D. Sinclair Elementary Scholarship 1 scholarship at $500 Applicant must have attended Dr. F.D. Sinclair Elementary for at least three intermediate years and/or Grade 7. Application Form for Jack Cooper Scholarship offered through Dr. F.D. Sinclair Elementary School Harris and Company Scholarship 2 scholarships at $500 Open to an outstanding Law 12 student planning to pursue a career in law. Application Form Learning Disabilities Award 1 award at $500 Open to students who are designated SLD. A letter of support from the learner support teacher is required. Application Form McQuarrie Hunter Scholarship 1 scholarship at $500 Applicants are required to complete the application and personal profile. Application Form Tess Fenger Memorial Scholarship 1 scholarship at $500 Open to students pursuing studies in forestry, ecology, environmental studies, marine biology or wildlife conservation. Application Form Christine Trischuk Scholarship 1 scholarship at $500 For students who wish to continue their education at any post-secondary institution and have donated blood at least once through Canadian Blood Services.
